This is Parking and Transportation Services' annual commute survey, which we've been conducting for over 10 years. We use this information to gauge our success in reducing single occupancy vehicle (SOV) commute trips to campus and increasing the use of alternative modes of transportation, along with evaluating community satisfaction with our programs and services.
We use the results to improve our programs and offerings. We consider data on transportation modes and opinions on our programs to make systematic changes in our office and we work with other departments as well. We also make anonymized results available to researchers (faculty and students) for their projects.
We reach out to students and employees that attend classes and/or work at the main Atlanta GT campus. We have a couple of questions for all responders, and then parse out the ones that commute from those that live on campus, and the commuters receive the vast bulk of the questions.
